UCBC & MLSS are partnering up to host a diver’s social event at the Maritime Museum on June 2nd!

The evening will include several brief talks focused on the expansion of Halkett Bay Marine Park and the protection of the glass sponge bioherm that it encompasses. This is your chance to learn about citizen science initiatives, as well as the PADI Sponge Diver Specialty course which has been created expressly for the sponge bioherm sites, unique to Howe Sound.

All proceeds from this event will benefit MLSS and UCBC sponge protection initiatives.
