On July 20, 2013 the Marine Life Sanctuaries Society brought our beach interpretation program to Saturna Island. Over 100 people came out for a fun day at the beach with marine life in touch-tanks on shore and marine biologists on-site to provide interpretive talks, followed by a video presentation by MLSS President Roy Mulder. The event was put on in collaboration with the Saturna Island Marine Research & Education Society’s SEATALKS 2013 Series. MLSS will be holding another Beach Interpretation at Saturna Island this summer on July 19th, 2014. Stay tuned to our events and facebook pages for more details.
If you have a large audience and would like to request a Beach Interpretation Program in your community, please let us know. Thank you to the RBC Blue Water Project for supporting this initiative.
