You are a diver comfortable the cold BC waters and have a passion for using your skills to advance marine conservation efforts.
Led by highly qualified and skilled MLSS dive leaders, you will help us gather wild marine life for temporary display at various sites around beautiful BC such as:
Porteau Cove Provincial Park
Bowen Island – Mount Gardner Road dock
Saturna Island (Southern Gulf Islands National Park Reserve) Tumbo Channel
Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse National Heritage Site
After the temporary display of marine life to the public and other audiences as supervised by our Beach Interpretive Guides, you will be responsible for returning the marine life back to their ocean habitats in a timely fashion to negate any unnecessary stress on them.
What can you expect to see on your dive, and what are some examples of animals you will be expected to bring safely to shore?
Below are species lists for three of the four sites where the program has taken place in the last few years.
